The
Structural Integrity Contest
All vehicles but one meet their ultimate demise in the final event of
the day, and usually even the winner is looking none-too-pretty by the
end. The explosive nature of this event has been nicely captured with
still photos in previous years, but only
video can truly show how when two vehicles collide, the LEGOs are wont
to fly.
Kathy vs Satyam: Ka-blam! Satyam
wins.
Sean's vehicle's final act is
to put a piece of LEGO lodged into J-VEQ's face.
Brendan is amazed his fragile Odyssey survives two throws against
Mark's rolling brick of a Short Bus before being neatly severed
in half.

What happens when a Strawberry
of DOOM and a Short Bus...of Doom! collide?
The Strawberry gets 3rd place and the Short Bus goes on
to the finals.
As often happens, the final round of the Structural Integrity contest
took many, many throws before one contestant finally found his driver
separated from his engine, signalling defeat.
Just for the hell of it, Sean
pitted his vehicle against the special Camera
Car J-VEQ had made to capture a driver's eye view of the events
(those videos are not yet available).
